• Wiktoria:
For me, Barents.pl is, above all, a unique group of people who are true travel enthusiasts and passionate professionals. I’ve had the pleasure of joining two trips, and both proved that a dedicated, experienced guide and a friendly, almost family-like atmosphere can turn a tour into unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

• Magda:
What I value most about Barents is their approach:

- Friendly when interacting with clients

- Professional when it comes to organizing the trip

- Safe during the journey itself

- Reasonable and down-to-earth financially

- Almost like family when we share our travel impressions afterward

• Sławek:
Kamchatka, Uzbekistan – highly recommended – well-designed itineraries, fantastic tour leaders.

• Iza:
Traveling with Barents is a true adventure :) Discovering interesting and sometimes less-known corners of the world, small groups, and creative itineraries. It’s travel driven by passion, a joy for the traveler, but also mindful and responsible – because by enjoying the hospitality and services of local communities, we not only enrich ourselves by learning about other cultures and traditions, but also, in some way, support those who may have a tougher life than we do.

• Kasia:
A professional travel agency – highly recommend.

• Alicja:
Another great trip! Highly recommended!
Roman, you’re my hero :-)

Kyrgyzstan: trekking in the Mountains of Heaven

• Marta (August 2024): “The expedition with Barents to Kyrgyzstan was a true adventure. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all mountain lovers and Wayfarers. Trekking among the Heavenly Mountains enchants, tests, challenges, moves to tears, frustrates, surprises, and heals. It’s a wonderful, rich, and unique experience. Every day you are in touch with the elements, with vastness, wilderness, and the greatness of nature. It can’t be described — it simply must be experienced. Highly recommended.”

• Przemek (August 2022): “The emotions after the trip to Kyrgyzstan are still buzzing in my head, making it hard to put into words. The first thing that comes to mind is ‘a wonderful adventure’.”

• Jessica (August 2021): “No complaints! Wonderful atmosphere, lots of knowledge, perfect trekking. The program was perfectly balanced in terms of physical effort. There was movement, mountains, but also places to learn about Kyrgyz culture. The guide created a great atmosphere, was competent, helpful, and very knowledgeable.”

• Aleks (August 2021): “Everything was very professionally organized and conducted. The program was very interesting and definitely satisfying. The cooks did a great job preparing vegetarian meals. Iwo – the best guide and tour leader in the world :-). I’m very happy with the trip.”

• Ania (September 2019): “Impeccable organization. The trip program matched the description on the website. The program was very good. The food was delicious. I was positively surprised by the level during trekking – the cook was excellent. The guides were wonderful! Everything top notch.”

• Agnieszka (August 2019): “The organization was very good. Professional guides Ola and Piotr always provided thorough information and lots of knowledge about the country and customs. Everything was on time and as expected. The program was typical trekking but there was enough time to explore and get to know local culture and customs. The cook during trekking cooked excellently. Ola and Piotr are great guides, professional, well-versed in the country’s history and customs. Also very nice people — spending time with them was fantastic.”

• Gabrysia (August 2019): “Good organization locally and abroad, though the layover between the flight from Kyiv to Almaty could be shorter. The trip program was interesting with beautiful views. Lovely porters, very helpful, helped set up tents. The guides were brilliant — they helped, calmed, made us laugh, very well organized and knowledgeable about local conditions. I hope to go on another trip with them.”

• Ania (August 2017): “The trip to the Tien Shan mountains was a wonderful adventure :) Excellent care from the guide (Kamila — thanks!!!) and a wonderful team of local guides, great people among participants + nature, space, stunning landscapes — the recipe for an unforgettable trip. The physical tiredness after daily kilometers was perfectly reset by the wonderful atmosphere — a great break for a busy city dweller ;) Snow-capped peaks, valleys crossed by streams, mountain lakes, starry night skies over ridges, crackling firewood — these images will stay with me for a long time. There’s also a longing and regret that the trip was so short. Thank you for this adventure, the first but definitely not the last with Barents.pl.”

• Dorota (July 2017): “I can’t put into words what I experienced in Kyrgyzstan. You just have to go there!!! If you like hard physical effort, being close to nature, peace, incredible views, and vast spaces, you will find it all in Kyrgyzstan. I want to thank you very much for the wonderful expedition! Thanks for the great guides, for Natalia (I hope she didn’t complain about us), for Dastan, thanks to whom we felt very safe in the mountains. As a cook, he spoiled us in every way — his fish soup will go down in history. Thanks also to the guys carrying our gear. The trip was 100% successful.”

• Asia (September 2014): “The whole trip was great and I think most will remember it that way, I certainly will :)”

Trekking in Georgia: Light Hikes Through Svaneti

• Patrycja (August 2024):
"I definitely recommend the light trekking in Svaneti with Barents travel agency. From the flight to the trekking, accommodation, and food – everything was very well organized. You can really feel the spirit of Georgia and taste the local cuisine. The views were stunning, bursting with colors of flowers. This was my first organized trip, and I will remember it fondly for a long time. I’m already planning my next vacation. Thank you."

• Piotrek (August 2021):
"I want to sincerely thank you for the wonderful vacation I spent with your help. Everything was amazing and unique for me. Organization: five stars. Additionally, I want to thank Klemens! It’s great that you have such a person on your team – he took care of us from the very beginning, found a connection with us, was the life of the group, a wonderful storyteller and organizer, a warm and sensitive person, helpful and joyful. Without him and Maia, it wouldn’t have been the same."

• Renata (August 2021):
"The element of surprise was very attractive for me even in the small Svanetian homestead – wonderful impressions despite the 'rough' conditions. Food: oh my – such quantities and deliciousness, like at a small wedding, although I was supposed to lose a few kilos :-) Tasty, delicious, and full of flavor. Maria – full of sensitivity, telling stories interestingly, very good contact with Georgian people, diplomatically solving any issues, wonderful. Congratulations and many thanks for all the moments dedicated to me."

• Iga and Maciek (July 2021):
"Nice contact before purchase and decision-making. Well-prepared trip info and a checklist with needed items. Attractive program. Flexibly adjusted with changing weather conditions. We liked that it was intense."

• Mikołaj (July 2021):
"Interesting trip to an interesting region. I really liked staying with local families. I hope we help this region develop. Our guide Bartek was great at bonding the group. He was happy to talk to everyone, which helped us become a close-knit team."

• Dominika (August 2019):
"Trekking in Georgia with Barents.pl was the best trip I’ve ever participated in. Good organization, beautiful routes, and wonderful people. Thank you."

• Kasia (August 2017):
"If you love mountains, enjoy full-day hikes, and don’t mind cold showers and spiders on the walls ;-) this trip is for you! First of all, the Barents.pl team: our guide Paweł – young, smiling, always super helpful. Transport, accommodation, every little wish – Paweł handled it all. Misza – our sherpa and mountain guide – taught us how to descend for 3 hours without destroying our knees. He knows the mountains like the back of his hand. Geo – handsome driver ;-) who, to everyone’s horror, loaded luggage on the roof and drove the packed car down the steepest slopes. Everything on time and with a smile. Conditions in Georgia – well... It’s not all-inclusive holidays with white tablecloths and huge bathrooms. You must prepare for very basic homesteads, small showers with very low water pressure, but our rooms were always clean, bedding fresh, and Georgian supras AMAZING! The hosts were very hospitable. Our group suffered a lot from stomach problems – bacteria in Georgia can take a toll, but Paweł (guide) already knows a good medicine, which will become a mandatory item on the packing list (right next to trekking poles). In short – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"

• Lidka (August 2015):
"A beautiful time in beautiful Svaneti, in wonderful company – it couldn’t have been better! Warm thanks to the Manager (and Deputy) for excellent organization and a great atmosphere."

Georgia and Armenia: The Best of the Caucasus

• Kasia (September 2019):
"Efficient, with a very friendly atmosphere. Excellent food and attention to detail. The tour leader had extensive knowledge, was flexible, patient, and had a great sense of humor."

• Ewa (September 2019):
"Professionalism, attention to detail, a well-thought-out route. A well-structured program, plenty of information. The various hosts approached the presentation of 'national dishes' with varying levels of creativity. The guide was articulate, cultured, knowledgeable, and diplomatic."

• Magdalena (September 2018):
"Thank you for an amazing Georgian-Armenian adventure. This trip still amazes me to this day – beautiful nature, beloved mountains, super friendly hosts, delicious food and wine. The agency did a great job, with our guide Elena leading the way. She shared a wealth of information and was truly a pleasure to spend two weeks with. Not to mention our group :D – fate brought us together in an incredibly fun and creative way. Group singing and jokes were the highlights :) These were two hilarious weeks. Thank you, thank you – I give you 5 stars!"

• Bogdan (September 2017):
"A wonderful trip, with a great variety of places, climates, flavors, and people. Highly recommended."

• Asia (August 2017):
"We’re very satisfied. The program was quite intensive, but that’s the trade-off. Great atmosphere. Thank you!"

• Dorota (July 2017):
"Choosing this trip with you was a bull’s-eye decision. To this day, I suffer from a Georgian-Armenian 'syndrome.' Coriander in my herb garden, bread baked at home, traditional Georgian and Armenian dishes on the table, only 'oriental' coffee, Georgian wine (not a fan of Armenian brandy), and even the mountain of work awaiting after two weeks away doesn’t scare me anymore. I won't mention anything negative – if anything occurred, it was minor and drowned in a sea of positive experiences. Discovering new places with well-delivered historical and social context is the way to go (kudos to Bartek!). Wonderfully chosen sights, overnight stays and meals in local homes rather than hotels – unbeatable. Option to explore extra places individually if there was time – not everyone loves museums or exhibitions."

• Krystyna (October 2016):
"Dear Barents.pl, with great satisfaction I thank you for delivering on your promises and meeting my expectations during the trip to Georgia and Armenia from 17.09 to 02.10. It was my first time using your services, and I was not disappointed."

• Wioletta (August 2014):
"I’m very satisfied with the trip to Georgia. Wonderful atmosphere in a small group. Ms. Kasia is a fantastic person with passion. The non-commercial character of the trip, staying with local families – wonderful. Mr. Ksawery Duś was excellent. Thank you very much!"

Svalbard: Experience the Arctic

• Małgosia (September 2022):
"Personally, I think the trip was fantastic. Our guide Bartek showed great concern for the group’s safety—especially outside inhabited areas where dangerous polar bears could be encountered. For peace of mind, I’ll add that every time we left the town, he was armed. The itinerary was diverse, and our time was packed to the brim. The accommodation provided all the comfort needed after a full day outdoors. I can wholeheartedly recommend a trip to Spitsbergen with your agency :-)"

• Marlena (July 2021):
"Everything was perfect! A great and varied program, raw but atmospheric conditions. Paweł is an excellent guide—responsible, attentive to details, and caring about everyone’s well-being."

• Violetta (September 2021):
"I’m very satisfied. Great organization, and the guide was always available and helpful at the highest level."

• (September 2021):
"Well-designed, intensive program (from morning to evening), right group size, option to choose excursions, lots of information before and during the trip (what to pack, etc.)."

• Małgosia (August 2020):
"Spitsbergen – for those passionate about untamed nature, stunning views, and a harsh climate. Excellent organization by Barents.pl; guide Paweł deserves a 6 out of 5: prepared, responsible, creative, and with a great sense of humor. I recommend it to anyone who doesn’t like to be bored on a trip!"

• Bożena (August 2020):
"I’ve been traveling around the world for years, usually organizing trips myself or with my husband. We enjoy the freedom to make decisions on the spot. That’s usually why we preferred independent travel. I heard about your agency in Katowice during a presentation I gave on a winter trip to Greenland. The next presentation was about Svalbard. I liked it, and afterward, I approached the presenters and asked how they went to Spitsbergen. That’s how I found out about you—five years ago. I remembered the name but forgot the rest.

This year in February, the idea came back, and so did the desire to go. I knew I couldn’t go to that place alone, mainly because of the need to carry firearms. It was my first group trip in probably 10 years.

And I was pleasantly surprised. All my concerns about a rigid schedule, inflexible plans, or bad atmosphere vanished like a soap bubble.

Our guide Paweł is an amazing person. His optimism, smile, and wonderful personality gave this trip a truly unique vibe. He responded to every request and was always helpful. He never seemed annoyed or tired of our many questions—he answered each one kindly. I took a lot of photos, which meant I was often at the back of the group, and most of the time, the others waited for me. The fact that no one made any negative comments was also thanks to Paweł. He always waited patiently and told interesting stories until I caught up.

He was very flexible with the schedule. For example, a mountain hike planned for day five was moved to the first day because the weather was great. And it was a good call—if we’d gone on the planned day, we wouldn’t have made it to the top due to heavy winds. Even at the base in Longyearbyen, walking the streets was tough that day!

I remember the hike vividly. It was a tough one for me (I hike a lot, but it was a bad day), and every time I reached the group, Paweł greeted me with a warm, sincere, and kind smile. All the fatigue just disappeared.

He looked after us constantly—from offering hot tea to helping with buying meals in Oslo, to getting metro tickets. Honestly, I haven’t felt this relaxed and cared for in a long time :-)

Thank you for all of it—and for all the amazing memories. Paweł and his unforgettable smile will stay with me for a long time. I’d love to return to Svalbard by boat to visit the research stations. Hopefully fate (and COVID) will be kind, and we’ll travel together again."

• Adrianna (August 2019):
"Spitsbergen – a dream come true :-) It was our first trip with Barents.pl and definitely not the last—we’ll be back, this time for a trekking adventure. Our guide Iwo is a person with a deep passion for mountain expeditions and extensive knowledge about the island, always focused on group safety. Highly recommended—greetings!"

• Patryk (July 2019):
"A really fun and well-organized trip. I’m very happy with it—the itinerary was very diverse. The guide was always prepared, organized, and tried to keep everyone interested."

• Agata (July 2019):
"An interesting program, reliable guide—awesome! The itinerary was diverse: towns, nature, the outdoors. Accommodation was great—warm, clean, and welcoming. The guide was intelligent, polite, professional, and handsome :-)"

• Piotr (July 2019):
"Everything went according to plan. We saw as much as possible in a short time. The guide made every effort to ensure everyone was satisfied."

• Ola (July 2017):
"A great, active trip to Spitsbergen – highly recommended."

• Małgorzata (July 2017):
"This trip fulfilled my dream of visiting Spitsbergen. I’m truly impressed by what I got to see and experience—an abandoned Russian town (Pyramiden), Barentsburg, a museum, a husky dog farm, sailing around the local fjords, a mountain hike near Longyearbyen. I experienced the midnight sun—the sun never set, just circled the sky.

But what captivated me most was the nature—wild, untouched, free of civilization, stunning landscapes, wild animals and birds. Seeing glaciers descending into the fjords was incredible. They were calving, constantly moving toward the sea—you could even hear it! In July, Spitsbergen is covered with arctic flowers, growing just a few centimeters tall. A paradise for photographers—and this trip met all my expectations in that regard. The photos are beautiful.

Barents.pl organized the trip very well logistically, and the interesting program was fully delivered. Special thanks to our guide Roman—competent, patient, humorous, and caring, he made us feel safe. The success of this trip was also thanks to my fellow travelers—thank you all for the great atmosphere. I’m very satisfied. I highly recommend a trip with Barents.pl to this unforgettable destination above the Arctic Circle."

• Magda, on behalf of the group (June 2017, private group trip):
"Once again, thank you for a fantastic journey through the beautiful, amazing, and unforgettable Spitsbergen! The experiences and all that surrounded them only confirmed how worthwhile it is to have dreams—and to follow them. This time, we did it with you—with Iwo, under the care of Barents. Everything turned out wonderfully. So many memories, and we’re already longing for more."

• Łukasz (August 2016):
"A very well-organized trip. Each day was packed from early morning until late evening. New attractions every day—glaciers, an abandoned mine, boat cruises, hikes through the tundra, Barentsburg, and the famous Pyramiden. I was lucky enough to see a polar bear. I brought home many great memories. Our guide, Iwo Gumuła (warm regards!), showed complete professionalism."

• Asia (July 2014):
"Great. Keep it up. Come up with new trip ideas—I’ll be happy to join!"

• Kasia (July 2014):
"I know for sure I’ll travel with Barents and Roman’s guides again—and more than once!"

Trekking in Kazakhstan: Zailiyskiy Alatau Mountains, Altyn-Emel National Park, Charyn Canyon, and the Kolsai Lakes

• Stefan (August 2024):
"The standards of organization and execution of the trip to Kazakhstan were at a good to very good level. Particularly noteworthy was the well-thought-out logistics and trekking setup, with a carefully selected and varied route, charming campsites, and a team — the tour leader, guide, and trekking crew — who were truly dedicated to their work.

And the Zailiyskiy Alatau Mountains themselves? Well, that’s something you simply have to see. Deep valleys filled with lush greenery and rushing streams, towering steep peaks capped with ice — these will stay with us for a long time. And the most beautiful part? The silence, the peace, and the complete absence of other tourists.

Every mountain lover, regardless of fitness level or experience, will return fulfilled.

And for dessert — the Charyn Canyon, the Aktau Mountains, and Lake Kaindy. Just beautiful :-)

See you on the next trip with Barents.pl!"

Sicily and the Aeolian Islands: Trekking on Etna and the Volcanic Isles

• Hania and Irek (September 2024): "Many thanks for the shared trekking on Etna and the volcanic islands. It’s an incredibly interesting and intense trip. Every day was different, filled with unique experiences and attractions. The main idea centers on hikes around volcanic craters and slopes. It’s an adventure worth experiencing that engages all the senses. You can smell flowers as well as sulfur, taste prickly pear fruits, admire vineyards, and trees laden with ripe pomegranates and persimmons. Each island is fascinating. The hotel base provided by the agency is very intimate and of high standard. Our guide Patrizio is cheerful, smiling, and ready with jokes—a great travel companion. Many thanks for the trip together; we recommend it to anyone who enjoys changing mountain landscapes, climbing, and sea bathing. It’s definitely worth visiting Etna, we highly recommend it!"

"Bulgaria: The Rhodope Mountains – Trekking through the Western Rhodopes and Traditional Villages

• Ilona (September 2024): "The trip description for the Rhodope Mountains was reliable, detailed, and thorough. The advice on what to bring was very helpful, especially for us beginners. The trip was very well organized, featuring an interesting program that allowed us to see the most beautiful places in the Rhodopes, taste local cuisine, and listen to traditional music. We felt well taken care of by the trip guide. I warmly recommend trekking in the Rhodope Mountains with Barents Travel Agency."

Trip to Jordan: Petra, Amman, the Wadi Rum Desert, and Treks

• Ania (May 2023): "I want to sincerely thank you for this trip! It was simply wonderful. Amazing nature, monuments, kind people, excellent cuisine, and what was especially important to me – a great atmosphere within the group. I really appreciated the group size and the guide (Piotr), who in the very first moments created a quick integration, and then everything went perfectly. The Jordanian guide also did a great job. Great sense of humor, and above all, we were taken care of at every step (e.g., help for everyone during canyoning, delicious coffee, watermelons, etc.). Organizing a dinner with a Jordanian family was a perfect hit!! It’s really impossible to put into words what I experienced because Jordan exceeded my expectations. I came back full of admiration and still feel it ;-) Petra, Wadi Rum, disconnecting from civilization, boat trip in Aqaba, canyoning – these were the highlights of the program and unforgettable experiences. Once again, thank you very, very much!"

• Jola (September 2022): "Several months have passed since our trip, and here it’s winter. When I looked at the photos, I returned with memories to those hot days. To wonderful people I met on the trip. Our guide Sebastian was a cool guy with great knowledge, a good organizer, and a great sense of humor. The trip was well organized, I saw a lot. I can wholeheartedly recommend the travel agency."

• Agnieszka (October 2022): "I am very satisfied with the trip. The program was well planned, and there was never a dull moment. Wonderful guide Klemens, plus a nice group of people, and Jordan will remain one of my best memories. Amazing views of the Dana Reserve, a thunderstorm with heavy rain in the desert, canyoning, delicious food, lots of activity… I really recommend it. I also appreciate Barents.pl for no hidden costs; everything was as promised. I recommend you to my friends."

• Dorota (April 2022): "I intended to write to the agency immediately after returning, on a wave of enthusiasm. Luckily, the few days delay didn’t dull my impressions, and I’m still thrilled. It was my first trip with Barents.pl. A bit into the unknown, untested... What convinced me was mainly the program – 2 days in Petra and the desert. Although the trip seemed expensive and friends shook their heads, I went. And I say it was not an expensive trip. What I saw, experienced, tasted... it was worth the money and has to cost. During the trip, I thought some things could be done differently, faster, more intensively… (I’m the kind who goes from morning till night without a break). But now I realize everything was perfectly tailored! An excellent program, giving the opportunity to discover Jordan from various aspects. And shared dinners in local and iconic places were the cherry on top. Excellent logistics organization with a local carrier and agencies that served us. The group was small, we traveled in one car, so everyone quickly bonded. The invaluable influence on the overall impression was undoubtedly our guide Klemens. Klemens was not at work. He was with a group of friends on vacation, caring for us, explaining, telling stories, joking, making us laugh… And he did everything so Jordan would stay with us for a long time!!! Thank you very much for everything."

• Karol (May 2021): "Great program, varied attractions, good balance between activities and rest. Plenty of time for individual attractions to really see them, not just tick them off (2 days in Petra and Wadi Rum gets a big +)."

• Iwona (October 2019): "The trip to Jordan was really great!!! Beautiful views, tasty food, wonderful people. It was impossible to be bored – many varied attractions from canyoning in Wadi Mujib to snorkeling in Aqaba, plus trekking in Dana Reserve, Petra, Wadi Rum desert, and other lovely places. Thank you for a truly beautiful holiday! Special thanks to our guide Mateusz, who managed it all."

• Martyna (October 2019): "Great trip to Jordan: a rich program with lots of attractions (sightseeing, canyoning, camel riding), but also time to rest (afternoon naps in the desert). Before the trip, full info package, hassle-free contact with the agency, and on site a dream team of guides (Roman + Paweł) taking care of a great atmosphere. I recommend it!"

• Magda (October 2019): "This trip was a bullseye! Stones, sand, and extraordinary rock formations, colors, but not only that :-) The Wadi Rum desert enchanted me. And the sunrises and sunsets – these are things you have to see. They stay in your memory forever. The diversity of Jordan is amazing and personally surprised me a lot. Jordanians are smiling, unpretentious, friendly, and the often-heard 'welcome to Jordan' seemed to me a sincere greeting, not just a tourist phrase. A strong asset of the trip was the food, and here my special thanks go to our guide Mateusz, who chose places where we could eat like Jordanians. No fancy restaurants, just places where locals hang out :-) The trip was super, very diverse, an adventure, yay!! Jordan with Barents – definitely recommend :-) Oh, and the night in a tipi + the halo on the moon in Dana Reserve – unforgettable!"

The Azores: São Miguel – Treks through a Land of Greenery and Volcanoes

• Ewa (June 2022): "The trip to the Azores was unforgettable! Well-designed program, great guide, fantastic hotel, excellent local driver, a wonderful group and… those views. The contrast of black basalt rocks, the blue-gray ocean, and the lush Azorean greenery. Plus the wind in your hair; the shy, clever sun burning behind clouds; walks along a volcano cone surrounded by a lake on one side and the ocean on the other; trails running through forests where a continental European feels like in a jungle; and tea plantations resembling those in Ceylon. Not to mention the Azorean pineapples that melt in your mouth, delicious local beef and fish, and insects that are practically absent on the islands (!), and if present, they’re in an XXS size contrasting with the XXL vegetation. Wonderful hot thermal springs where you could relax after curry trekking. And in Lisbon: amazing fado in a cozy little tavern in Alfama and the fantastic, charismatic guide Marcin who can make you fall in love with Lisbon! The only thing I missed was a whale-watching trip. Everything else was a solid 5!"

• Małgosia (September 2021): "I return home without any feeling of missing out on experiences. I feel like I touched many places the island offers. I know there’s still a lot to discover, which encourages me to return to the Azores. What was important to me: diversity, flexibility of the guides, and the freedom in the whole organization that I could take whenever I needed it. I felt well taken care of every day on many levels. The atmosphere everywhere is created by people. P.S. Thanks for the lightness of the whole trip!"

• Kasia (September 2021): "Efficient organization and reaction to the very changeable weather. The program was very varied and well thought out. Guides – a very successful and complementary duo."

• Elwira and Janusz (February 2022): "Sao Miguel is a wonderful green island whose attractions and atmosphere are especially appreciated during the Polish winter. Levadas, calderas, geysers... The February trip with Barents was a well-organized event; we reached all the most interesting places and visited restaurants with delicious local specialties. Patrice and Maciek – our guides – invaluable. Not only very well organized but also incredibly friendly people. One of the best trips we have ever taken."

Trip to Georgia: Tbilisi, Batumi, Mount Kazbek, and Svaneti

• Mariusz (August 2019): "Great trip, great group! Jura was a fantastic driver. The food — if there had been more meat, it would have been perfect ;-) and the guide — an awesome guy."

• Karolina (July 2019): "Really nice, I could have stayed another week. There were no crowds. I was happy with the program. The food was best at Gelati at Mai’s place! Guide Kasia — super! She has a great approach to kids! Hope to see you again!"

• Ela (July 2019): "An unforgettable journey through Georgia’s trails, diverse, full of interesting people, packed with unexpected events, spectacular landscapes, and the perfect atmosphere for each region. Seasoned with good humor and the perfect company, delicious Georgian food, fine wine, and chacha. Of course, I must mention our wonderful guide Kasia, who introduced us to this yet undiscovered corner of the world, sharing history as well as fascinating insights into the people, culture, and customs. With Kasia, we saw not only landmarks and charming landscapes but also places hidden far off the beaten path. Thank you for this wonderful time with you all, for those 2500 km, countless liters of wine, shared dances and songs, the good mood you gave us every day, your help, the group photos, great fun, and all the memories that will last forever. So folks, if you’re still wondering whether to travel with Barents Active Travel Agency, don’t hesitate even a moment! It’s really worth it — an adventure full of experiences awaits you!"

• Dorota (2019): "It was truly an amazing adventure. One of a kind and unique. We are enchanted by Georgia — its nature, historical heritage, culture, and people. The group integration also went very well. Plus, a total break from everyday life. I would gladly go again... GRUZINOZA... I think that’s what this condition is called. People, go to Georgia because it’s worth it. Now. Before commercialization overshadows the true face of this country."

Trip to Turkey: Hikes in Cappadocia and Antioch

• Martyna (October 2020): "Active, efficient, interesting, and relaxed. Especially great were the treks in Cappadocia, Ihlara, the underground cities, Hatay... basically almost everything :-). The guide was helpful, resourceful, and able to communicate well with the locals."

Trekking off the beaten path in Romania – The Banat Republic and Baile Herculane Thermal Baths

Agnes (June 2024): "I’m very happy that I could participate in the trip to Banat, Romania — beautiful green and mountainous areas. Our guide Iwo was very patient and helpful, he managed everything very well, had extensive knowledge, answered every question, and was very well prepared as a guide. The accommodation and food at the hosts’ places where I stayed were very good, and the people were friendly and open to tourists. Thanks also to everyone at the Barents office for the program and handling the formalities. Thank you and I highly recommend it. This won’t be my last trip with you."

Marta (June 2023, cycling trip): "The trip was great, definitely not my last one with you. Iwo is a wonderful guide! He never let us down, when we had to push our bikes for too long he provided mental support and gave us strength. He was very flexible regarding the changing needs of the group so that everyone felt satisfied. I think it’s difficult to achieve with a dozen people where everyone wants something a bit different, but he managed! Banat was not easy physically for me, but it was worth every drop of sweat on my forehead. Stunning views, a place somewhat frozen in time, a bit like a grandma’s countryside holidays from childhood. Every day was a new adventure. Since returning, I’ve been recommending you to everyone."

Wiktoria (June 2022): "The trip to the picturesque, beautiful, and little-known Banat region was very successful and I warmly recommend it to tourists who like to visit places off the beaten track. It met my expectations in every way. Organization, weather, guide, driver — everything was perfect. As an ethnographer, a great value of this trip was staying in the homes of Czechs, which allowed us to feel immersed in the local culture, learn about their settlement history in Romania, live with them, talk, taste their cuisine, local drinks, and dance to local music rhythms. We were enchanted by the multicolored blooming meadows, the lush green mountains, the gifts of the forest in the form of an extraordinary abundance of porcini mushrooms, and the beautiful Danube flowing among the high hills. At the end, soaking in the hot springs of the Baile Herculane spa was a joy and a reward after trekking. The Czech humor of the guide was priceless, immediately creating a great atmosphere where both older and younger participants felt comfortable. It was sad to leave the Banat region. Madeira: Walking the Levadas and Exploring the Island of Eternal Spring!

• Marta (June 2023): "The trip was great. The weather was amazing; we even caught unusual heat on the island with temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius. Stunning views and wonderful nature, flowers, and waterfalls. Delicious seafood and punch :). Great company along with the tour guide. Greetings."

• Irena (June 2023): "For me, the trip was wonderful in every way. Everything was superb organizationally. The guesthouse where we stayed was spotless, with daily room cleaning and a beautiful ocean view from the terrace where breakfast was served. Beautiful Madeira can’t be described in words, you just have to be there. Our guide Iwo, with vast knowledge, showed us many interesting places to admire and to ‘taste.’ I highly recommend a trip to Madeira with Barents.pl. This was my first trip with Barents but definitely not the last."

• Ela (June 2022): "I am very happy with the trip to Madeira with Barents. Touring the island of eternal spring and walking the levadas was a great pleasure and an unforgettable adventure, as proven by my posts on FB. Special thanks to our guide Iwo Gumuła :-) Iwo is great at what he does :-) Thank you for his sense of humor, organization, patience, and guiding skills. And the ultimate dream is to meet a guide from the same town on a trip. Warm greetings and see you on the trail :-)"

• Marta (September 2021): "Very good organization, full information before and during the trip. Help with QR codes at the airport (sent by SMS) – super. Information about tests, help in choosing the best option – highly recommended :-). The program was great, varied, with something for everyone :-) A cool thing was adjusting the program depending on the situation, interesting local events, the participants’ condition and moods. The guide was fantastic :-) Great group intuition, super efficient organization of additional local attractions, helpful :-) Flexible, not imposing, very approachable, with a sense of humor."

• Helena (October 2019): "Madeira – levada walks and exploring the island of eternal spring! If you’re looking for active rest among lush greenery, beautifully blooming flowers, diverse birds, pleasant temperatures, and surprising views, along with easy access to local fruits, drinks, food, and the Atlantic, Madeira is the perfect place. This was my third successful trip with Barents. Highly recommended."

Trips to Uzbekistan

• Alicja (May 2018): "If I had to describe it in one word, it would be: WONDERFUL! Right from the start, I appreciated the customer approach regarding the visa. I thought it would be a big problem, but with Barents' help, it went smoothly. A big plus was the small group. The guide was very kind, helpful, caring, and attentive to the participants' needs. Guide Paweł was very flexible and responsive to the diverse needs of the group. It was very valuable that the program could be flexibly adjusted during the trip. Upon participants’ request, it was possible to skip the trekking or camel riding through the desert, but for those interested, there was a walk on the camel’s back. A minor downside was some issues with flight departure and return dates, but Barents handled it so well that the downside turned into a plus because we got extra days to stay. The hotels we stayed in were very decent. Transportation from the airport to the hotel was perfectly organized. Traveling in a comfortable bus, with photo stops in attractive places (which I used without worries), and a very nice, helpful local driver were great advantages of the trip. Meals—lunches and dinners—were on our own but shared at the same table, which was wonderful. The program was very rich and included some extras. Some monuments were not mentioned in the offer, but I saw everything important. The local guides were very nice, kind, and patiently dealt with our demands. They were young but very knowledgeable, passionate, and highly engaged in showing their fantastic country. The locals were also very friendly, sometimes almost overwhelming—they constantly wanted to take photos with us, but they didn’t object when we took photos of them. I warmly recommend this trip to everyone! IT’S WORTH IT!!!"

• Paulina (May 2017): "Uzbekistan? None of my friends knew where it was. I didn’t have much time to read about the country before the trip, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. After the trip, I’m amazed by this country. The culture, monuments, food, landscapes... You showed me everything so well that I would gladly go back again. Accommodation and transport were very comfortable (I had never seen such comfortable buses before). The guide and local guides were very kind and committed to their work. It was simply fantastic, and I recommend this trip to everyone who is wondering whether to go."

• Ewa (May 2017): "A close-knit, from the first glance, small group, each different, but people who join such trips have the ability to adapt to any conditions. Singing together around a desert campfire to the sound of a balalaika. An international song contest under the clear and bright sky. Late-night Polish talks over local wine and beer (yes, Uzbeks have their own beer). Delicious and amazingly cheap food in atmospheric local restaurants. Cooking shows and tastings. Bazaars, beautiful Bukhara carpets, silk scarves everywhere, a frenzy of dried fruits. And monuments, breathtaking, monumental, and excellently restored buildings. Plus a young, smart, and quick-witted guide who was learning about Uzbekistan with us, although it seemed he had spent half his life there. In summary, a truly successful trip. On a side note, the bus we traveled in on the not-so-good roads was the most comfortable bus I’ve ever traveled in, maybe because I sat in the front row. It was some unknown Chinese make, but it worked perfectly! Thank you very much!"

• Anna (May 2014): "The trip gave us many experiences, and we are already thinking about the next holiday. On my behalf, I want to thank you for the excellent choice of the guide, Ms. Magda Sybicka. She showed great professionalism, calmness, and excellent organizational skills. Extremely communicative, she perfectly connects with people of different cultures and languages (and ages). Calm, warm, kind, and fully dedicated to her duties."
