Tour to Estonia: Estonian nature and Vana Tallinn
Tour to Estonia. Join us on an active round trip to Estonia to discover the subtle beauty of Estonian nature and its largest cities - Tallinn and Tartu - with their different histories and present day. What will this small country surprise us with?
The Soomaa region will reveal vast peatlands, expanses of bogs untouched by humans. We will swim in a bog lake and jump straight from the sauna into the river. On the island of Kihnu we will discover a matriarchal culture. Tallinn will welcome us with the diversity of its districts, and Tartu will draw us in with its university atmosphere. We will soak up the sun on the beaches of Pärnu.
We will warm our bones in a traditional sauna. We will try a dessert made from kama. We will cover kilometers on the cobblestones of Estonian streets, across peat bogs, coastlines, boardwalks and beaches. We will experience the hospitality of the reserved, but very kind and warm-hearted Estonians.
A tour to Estonia with Barents.pl is another of our interesting offers of active round trips to the Baltic countries.

ESTONIA TOUR - ITINERARY:
DAY 1
Flight from Poland to Tallinn. Overnight stay in the capital of Estonia.
DAY 2
Today we will see Vana Tallinn, Tallinn's Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is delightfully diverse! The Old Town consists of two parts - the Upper Town, aristocratic and governmental, and the Lower Town, home to burghers and merchants. We will plunge into the colorful bustle of streets, markets, galleries, bars and lively squares.
There will be some free time for extra attractions, of which Tallinn has plenty - from the Seaplane Harbour museum, through the vast Kadriorg Park and the Kalma Saun city bathhouse from the 1920s, to excellent examples of revitalization and adaptation of abandoned factories in the Rotermann Quarter and creative Telliskivi.
We will spend the evening in Tallinn's bars.
DAY 3
We will visit Lahemaa National Park and take a 6 km walk across Viru Bog, one of the most accessible bogs to explore (with dry feet!) thanks to an exceptionally long wooden boardwalk ending with a tall observation tower, offering views over the vast expanses of the national park.
We will visit local winemakers to try fruit wines made from Estonian fruit. In the evening we will reach the university town of Tartu. We will immerse ourselves in the energetic atmosphere of the Old Town.
DAY 4
Sightseeing in Tartu. This city lives on science (it is home to one of the oldest universities in Europe), culture, art and architecture. There will be time to buy souvenirs and stroll along the riverside promenade. In the afternoon we head out of town for a trek of several kilometers across Suur Munamägi, the highest peak in Estonia and all the Baltic states (317 m above sea level).
In the evening we travel to the Estonians' favorite seaside resort - Pärnu (Pernau). An evening walk along the beach, through the interesting Old Town and among the wooden villas.
DAY 5
We will pay a visit to one of Estonia's more than 2000 islands, and what an island it is! We will take a ferry to the unique island of Kihnu, where women rule. The island's cultural heritage - dress, language, music, crafts - has been inscribed on the UNESCO list. In the past, the men went out to sea to fish and hunt, which shaped a matriarchal culture. It was the women who took care of social life and became the bearers of tradition. Naturally, a local female guide will show us around the island. Overnight stay in the homes of local hostesses on Kihnu Island.
DAY 6-7
We leave Kihnu and head to Soomaa National Park. In Estonian, Soomaa means "Land of Bogs". We will explore it walking along boardwalks, looking out from observation towers and swimming in dystrophic lakes. We will see places visited several times a year by the so-called fifth season, when water flowing down from the surrounding hills causes regular floods. For those who wish, a sauna, after which we will cool off in the river, and time by the campfire.
One of the two days will be very active: together with a local guide we will go on a hike of several hours through the bogs, forests and rivers of Soomaa. On the other day we will visit the trails prepared by the national park along boardwalks laid across the bogs. Two nights near Soomaa National Park.
DAY 8
We return to Tallinn. Final walks around the capital, rest and a well-deserved farewell dinner at a brewery located in a revitalized industrial district. An IPA with lingonberry or a beer brewed with spruce shoots awaits its fans. Flight from Estonia to Poland.
